Expressive
The expressive letters bring together the typical lettering of posters and shop windows. Despite their formal diversity, they were grouped into a single category because it was not the main focus of our investigation. This classification was established by Finizola (2010) during the survey Typographical Panorama of Vernacular Lettering: a case study in the city of Recife. The categories are fluid, and the same sign may present characteristics of more than one style.
