Calligraphic
he pattern of calligraphic letters encompasses the signs that have been directly influenced by the practice of calligraphy, noticeable in the way that the terminals/shanks of the letters are finished and in the direct reference to the working tool. This classification was established by Finizola (2010) during the survey Typographical Panorama of Vernacular Lettering: a case study in the city of Recife. The categories are fluid and the same sign may present characteristics of more than one style.
